Scylla and Charybdis

Scylla is a female monster who has twelve legs and six necks with six heads. She snatches the sailors who pass by, one for each head, and eats them up in raw. When Odysseus and his crew are distracted by Charybdis, Scylla snatches six of his men and they are eaten raw in pain.
Charybdis is another sea monster who lives on the opposite side of Scylla.Three times a day, Charybdis swallows sea water and vomit it out again. It creates huge whirlpools, dragging ships underwater.
